How I Crushed an Invisibility Tower Base Using Royal Champion and Dragons in Clash of Clans
Sometimes you come across a base in Clash of Clans that just doesn’t follow the usual rules. This one had a bizarre layout—heavy defenses like X-Bows and Infernos stacked right in the middle, while the cannons were oddly placed around the outside. At first glance, it looked confusing. But once I figured out the weak points, this base was toast.
Let me walk you through how I broke it down, step by step.
The Base Layout
What made this base strange was how unbalanced it felt. Everything strong was centralized, which normally sounds smart, but the cannons were scattered around the edges, leaving some gaps for a surgical approach. I noticed two Invisibility Towers placed near the Town Hall and at the top of the base—those needed to be handled carefully.
Step 1: Triggering the Invisibility Towers
I started the attack with a Queen Walk on the right side of the base. The goal here was to trigger the Invis tower by the Town Hall early, without letting it mess with my dragons later.
To help with this, I used a giant arrow to set off the invis tower in advance. That gave me time to let the Queen chip away safely before sending in more troops. I also dropped a Minion Prince from the bottom to support her and keep the funnel clean.
Step 2: RC Dive to the Town Hall
Once the invis tower was burned and the Queen had done her job, I sent in the Royal Champion from the bottom. Her job was to take out the Town Hall and clear out that bottom pocket.
She hit a few traps, but nothing she couldn’t handle. I popped her ability early because I knew she’d survive long enough to clear that section cleanly—and she did. Even better, she got more value than expected. I didn’t need to use an invis spell on her after all.
Step 3: Dragons for the Win
At this point, the Queen had cleared way more than I thought she would—including two air defenses—which gave my dragons a perfect path. I originally planned to send them from the left, but since the Queen triggered the top invis tower, I decided to launch from the top-right to avoid a delay.
Once they were in, I flipped the Grand Warden’s switch and let them go to work.
The Result
This base was absolutely crushed.
The Queen and Minion Prince combo cleared the right. The Royal Champion deleted the Town Hall. The dragons wiped the rest. Even though the layout was odd, this strategy turned it into an easy triple.
Final Thoughts & Tip
If you’re dealing with bases that rely heavily on Invisibility Towers, try this approach:
- Use a long-range troop or spell to trigger invis early (like a giant arrow or Queen shots)
- Follow up with a Royal Champion charge
- Use air units (like dragons) once those traps are handled
And don’t underestimate how much value you can get from a Queen if she’s protected and placed right.
