This Clash of Clans Base Was Too Easy – Dragons + RC Charge Strategy
Some Clash of Clans bases may look strong—but as soon as I saw this one, I knew it was all show. Here’s a full breakdown of how I spotted its weaknesses and executed a clean takedown with dragons and a Royal Champion charge.
Reading the Base: First Impressions
At first glance, the layout looked impressive. But once I began analyzing the defenses, it became clear: this base wasn’t built to last. I always start by checking the air sweepers, fire splitters, and spell towers. In this case, they were oddly spaced and misaligned—each facing different directions with centralized spell towers but no real central defense system. That was my first clue this base was vulnerable.
Then I looked for the builder huts. Well-placed huts can protect major defenses, but these were scattered along the edges. That confirmed it: this base might look tough, but it wasn’t.
The Plan
I decided to charge the Royal Champion straight at the Town Hall. After that, my goal was to send the Queen to the right side and launch the dragons straight up the middle. To help clean up, I placed the Minion Prince at the top left.
Execution: What Went Right—and Wrong
The Royal Champion moved in smoothly at first, but I hit some trouble. The buildings were spaced too far apart, which slowed her down, and I misfired some invis spells. A few traps nearly took her out, and she even jumped out of spell range at one point—classic RC chaos.
I still had three spells left, but I didn’t get the value I wanted from her. I moved on and dropped the Queen near the air defenses. Unfortunately, I only got one, but again—the base was weak enough that it didn’t matter.
With most of the top exposed, I placed the Minion Prince up north to take down undefended buildings and draw fire from the poison tower. He handled it well.
Dragon Time
Once I got the dragons going, it was all about timing the Grand Warden’s ability. I tried to use invis spells smartly—but like always, I fumbled a bit. The Queen took little damage, though, thanks to the lack of nearby defenses.
I sent the Minion Prince for the monolith, and he crushed it. At that point, the base was almost completely destroyed. I still had a spell left—and I hadn’t even touched my CC spell yet, which I often forget and use too early. This time, I held onto it until the very end.
Final Thoughts
With three heroes still standing, a bunch of dragons left, and barely any defenses remaining, this base was absolutely demolished. It’s a good reminder: just because a base looks good doesn’t mean it’s strong.
If you run into similar layouts, remember—an early RC charge, well-placed Queen, and dragon funnel can tear these apart.
Oh, and don’t forget to actually use your CC spell. 😄
