How I Crushed a Box Base in Clash of Clans Using Queen Walk and Dragons

These compact, trap-heavy layouts can be a nightmare—especially when you're up against tight funneling paths and air sweepers aimed straight at your face. In this attack, I’ll walk you through exactly how I tackled a tough box base using a Queen Walk, a well-timed Royal Champion dive, and a Dragon push down the middle. Here's how it all played out:

Step 1: Scouting the Base

Before dropping a single troop, I scanned for key defenses:

  • Spell Towers
  • Air Sweepers
  • Fire Spitters

Both air sweepers were pointed directly at the Town Hall, which can make an air push tricky. But I had a plan.

Step 2: RC Dive to the Town Hall

To avoid getting bogged down mid-attack, I sent my Royal Champion straight for the Town Hall early. This cleared the way and gave me flexibility to start my Queen from the top side of the base.

Step 3: Queen Funnel and a Missed Ability

I hoped the Queen's Magic Arrow would clear the air sweepers and the air defenses, but I missed. It happens... A lot

Step 4: Funnel Setup with Dragons

To avoid a messy deploy, I dropped a few Dragons and a Siege Machine to create a clean funnel. Once the sides were trimmed, I sent the rest of the Dragons and Warden straight up the middle.

Step 5: Dealing with Defenses

A rogue Air Defense would have chewed through my Dragons, so I deployed a Minion Prince to clear it. The timing on the prince's ability could’ve been better—but it was enough to keep the push alive.

Step 6: Clutch Finish

With time running low, I was sweating. But once the Clan Castle went down and the X-Bow fell, I knew I had it. The Queen cleaned up the rest from range, and it all came together just in time for the triple.

Army Composition (If You Want to Try It):

  • Dragons
  • Invisibility spells

Final Thoughts

This wasn't a perfect attack—I made mistakes with spell timing and troop placement—but the strategy held up. If you’re facing box bases, try this combo. It gives you flexibility, power, and a solid chance at a 3-star.
