Microsoft 365 is everywhere. With over 90% of fortune 500 companies using Microsoft 365 managing and securing Microsoft 365 is an in-demand skill. It isn't just used by large businesses. Over a million companies are using Microsoft 365. That's a lot of organizations that have security requirements. But that's not the only reason to hire someone with a Microsoft 365 Security Administration certificate.

Microsoft partners also need to hire employees that have their Microsoft 365 Security Administration certificate. For Microsoft partners to have a silver partnership they need at least one employee that has passed the MS-500. Microsoft gold partners need at least four employees that have passed the MS-500.

How much can you expect to earn?

The amount of money you can make with the certification varies depending on the industry and the company you work for. However, on average, you can expect to make around $100,000 a year with this certification. To obtain this certification, you must first take and pass the exam. The MS-500 exam comprises 40-60 questions and you have 120 minutes to finish the exam. The exam costs roughly $165.
