Context is King

Topics topics topics! That's my Brady Bunch impersonation.

Remember when I said Copilot has topics and you need to reset them? Here's why that's awesome. Let's say I need some tweets to promote my course.

Let's ask "Please write 10 tweets to promote my Copilot course"

Those are good, but not all of them will do. Let's ask for 10 more. "10 more please"

(notice how I'm super nice to the AI. When Copilot takes over the world it will remember who was kind and who wasn't)

Notice that, unlike a Google search, I didn't need to rephrase my request in its entirety and that's thanks to the topics or context as I think of it.

You can also use the topics to refine your results.

Let's generate an article for my blog about Copilot. But this time let's use context to craft everything we need.

We'll start with generating some article ideas with the following prompt: "Can you help me write a blog article? Please give me 10 topics to cover on my Copilot blog."

Then we pick one and set the context. 'Let's write about "Copilot in Action: Share some real-life examples of how Copilot has assisted in coding projects." Please answer all the questions I ask in that context.'

Copilot is a guy. I didn't even ask for the article and he just jumped to conclusions.

Now we need a title. Let's use: "What are some eye-catching titles for the article? Please provide 5 or more"

We can keep going and ask for an outline, and a leading paragraph and the entire article but we'll stop there. You get it.

When you need something new just click the new topic button and you're all set. Then I can ask "Why is my pool water green?" You can start working on something new. Copilot won't, or at least shouldn't think I'm still writing a blog article. It will now know, we're on to a new topic.
