Top 10 then carry on the conversation
Top 10 then carry on! Carry on my AI friends!
One of the tricks I like to use with Copilot is asking for the top 10. It's a critical question when I don't know where to start. So let's say I'm unhappy at work. Hate my job, hate the career track I've chosen. I feel like my work is meaningless, I'm not to concerned with how much money I make but I want my work to have purpose. Let's ask Copilot for some assistance.
What are the ten jobs that people feel have the most purpose?
Now I have an easy-to-digest list. The first answer, teacher, is out. My wife was a teacher. Their work is important but thanks to the laws where you essentially can't kick kids out of school or fail kids it's a brutal work environment. Next!
Nurse! Both my sisters work as nurses. Their jobs are important but they are overworked. Next!
Firefighter! That's interesting. You probably don't get paid well and the hours are probably tough but I would love to tell people "I'm a firefighter!"
So now let's drive down. What's it like being a firefighter? What are the hours like? What is the average pay of firefighters in my area? What training do I need to become a firefighter?
Okay, so I'd have to work for 24 hours straight. That might be a bit difficult with a new baby in the house but it's an option.
Anyway, I actually love my job. I make great puns, work from home, and fart whenever I need to without shame. But you get the idea. Start broad and work your way more narrow or think of it as eliminations! You are the weakest link. Goodbye!
